Learn about me and what I do best

My mission

In every project I take on, I strive to become a better designer in some aspect. I love hearing my clients ideas and transforming them into a beautiful finished product. While my typical design style tends to be a bit soft and feminine, I have no problem switching gears to create something clean and modern, or masculine and dark in style. Your job isn't done until you are 100% satisfied.

Constantly leaning and evolving in this ever-changing professional world, I look forward to the challenge of whatever you throw at me!

So who am I?

Born and raised in southeast Michigan, I've spent 28 years living and breathing art in any form I can get my hands on. It started with an easel and finger paint, and spanned through various artistic categories that included a passion for music, strong appreciation for photography, and 10 years of dance classes. But I was introduced to my true love at age 10, when my folks brought home our very first home computer. I was instantly amazed at the capabilities of this huge machine. I started teaching myself html code and a very early version of Photoshop, and haven't stopped learning since that very day. Graphic Design has been the only path that has ever made sense in my life, so here I am, ready to share my talent with the world.

In 2007, I completed my Associates Degree in Computer Graphics Technology with a specialization in Web Design and Publishing. I then went on to earn my BFA in Graphic Design at the International Academy of Design and Technology in Troy, Michigan, where I graduated with Honors in April of 2010. In November of that year, I packed up 26 years of stuff and moved to Akron, Ohio to work as a full time in-house designer for just over 2 years. In 2013, I've chosen to dedicate all of my time to my freelance career. It was time to get out of the 9-5 gig and move on to a bigger dream.

During my free time, I like spending time outdoors, camping, hiking, playing with my 2 dogs, taking road trips to music festivals, or brushing up on my hoop dancing skills.

Clients

I've had the opportunity to work with a variety of clients not only locally, but nationwide. I've worked on full campaigns, such as designing a continuing collection of marketing materials for a trivia night business out of Atlanta, or creating a full tradeshow booth for a local, but very large and well-known industrial company. Developing home fragrance items from concept to print has given me a whole new respect for the packaging industry, and those products now sit in major retailers across the country.
